| Kieran began his Irish musical career while still in his early teens, and further honed his skills in Ireland in the 1990's. He became a respected instructor at both Na Píobairí Uilleann, the Dublin based Irish piping club, as well as the world famous Willey Clancey Summer Music School. Kieran is sought world-wide to perform and share his mastery of the instrument as well as composing for screen and stage. Liz was a classically trained violinist before she began to explore other genres such as rock, jazz and folk music. She came to love Irish traditional music and is one of few classically trained violinists to become adept at playing an authentic Irish fiddling style. She has played and toured extensively throughout the world and also writes compositions for other artists, and stage productions. Registration for this year's tionól includes: Friday night meet and greet with Kieran and Liz, Saturday admission to the Scottish Games, small group instruction by Kieran on uilleann pipes, or Liz on Irish fiddle, two public concert performances by Kieran and Liz at the games, lunch on Saturday, reed making classes at the SLPC pavilion during the games, a house concert with Kieran and Liz, and (depending on the number of registered participants) a chance for one on one instruction with either Kieran or Liz for a reasonable extra fee. Space is filling up quickly however, so please register early!
