David Power Live - June 12, 2005
Waterford City's own All Ireland senior uilleann piping champion David Power was in great form
when he visited Salt Lake City for the SLPC's summer tionól in June of 2005.  The highlight of the
weekend was David's performance at
St. Marks' Cathedral in downtown Salt Lake.  With sunlight
streaming though the beautiful stained glass windows, the expected attendance of a few dozen or so
people quickly developed into a very unexpected 300 plus attendees (and a news crew!)  Great tunes,
songs and David's own brilliant wit made the evening one that ma
ny of us will remember for a long
while to come, particularly as the acoustics were stunning for piping.

A very special thank you to Reverend Canon Diana Johnson and sexton John O'Shea for allowing us
to share our evening with them and all who were able to attend!  Your hospitality is most generous!!

The Salt Lake Piping Club would also like to deeply thank the
Utah Scottish Association - without who's help the weekend simply would not have been
possible.
All the very best - Cheers guys!
